(ANS - Rome) - Last Saturday, 5 September, during a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians and Grand Chancellor of the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS), Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga was appointed as the new Superior of the Vice Province "Maria Sede della Sapienza” of the UPS.

(ANS - Juba) - The young women who attend the Don Bosco Vocational Training Center in Juba, South Sudan, have received scholarships that will contribute to their formation and that will allow them to continue their studies, thanks to donor funding of “Salesian Missions”, the Salesian Mission Office of New Rochelle, USA.

(ANS - São Paulo) - The Museum of the Salesian Works of Brazil (MOSB) can now be visited through Google Arts & Culture, an online collection of high-resolution images of works of art exhibited in various museums around the world. Thanks to this platform, launched in 2011, it is possible to visit many museums, scattered in every corner of the globe. The museum exploration feature uses the same technology used by Google's Street View project.

(ANS – Seoul) – Already 37 years after starting the “Bible and Life Publications”, the Caritas Sisters of Jesus in South Korea are endeavouring to keep up this important Bible apostolate, not only with traditional printed matters (books, magazine, notebooks for writing the Bible books, prayer books, interactive catechism or Bible textbooks for children, catechumens or adult Catholic community), but they are also venturing into the digital ocean.

(ANS – Nairobi) – Every year from 1st September to 4th October, Christians mark what has come to be known as the Season of Creation (SOC). This is the time that is set aside for all people of goodwill to reflect on their relationship with all the created things in our common home. The theme for this year is “Jubilee for the Earth” and it coincides with the quinquennium celebration of the Laudato Sì', and the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. Here we share a reflection by Br.
