Gò Vấp, Vietnam - 1960 - The first Salesian work in Vietnam was a boarding school in Hanoi. Opened in 1952, it was closed for political reasons in 1954. From 1956 to 1976 was open the GO VAP vocational training school  (including tailoring section) later named Don Bosco Go Vap, in Saigon (today Ho Chi Minh City).
