(ANS - Cali) – Colombia’s guerrilla warfare began in 1952 and has caused over 300,000 deaths, while at the same time fueling the growth of powerful drug cartels. At the “Don Bosco Center” in Cali, however, young people who have known nothing but guerrillas and guerilla warfare are welcomed and accompanied on their path towards rehabilitation.

The theme chosen for 2021 is: “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”. The theme focuses on how we can help people recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, build resilience, and transform the world into a fairer, more inclusive, and healthier place.
