Brazil – "UniSALESIANO" promotes 1st International Congress on Education Technology

(ANS - Araçatuba) - The "UniSALESIANO" Salesian Catholic University Center, belonging to the Brazil-Campo Grande Province (BCG) and with offices in Araçatuba and Lins, has organized its 1st International Congress on Educational Technology (ISCED) from 13 to 15 October. The goal of the event, which will take place digitally and which features over 90 conferences, is to offer interesting reflections and ideas for a truly transforming and enriching education, and which are of interest to those who always want to stay up to date in the latest technology and trends.

Thinking into the future role of young people in leadership, the UniSALESIAN had invited renowned speakers from Brazil and abroad to address important and current issues in various sectors such as health, social, technology etc.,

For example, engineer Pierre Mantovani - CEO of "Omelete Company" (CCXP and Comic Con Experience), the main pop culture conglomerate in Latin America, will hold the "Digital Business" conference, at 7:30 pm on October 13, immediately after the solemn opening of the event.

The YouTuber Thiago Nigro, the world’s largest influencer on finance, will close the congress on October 15, at 7:30 pm, with the conference "Transforming Action into Freedom". Nigro is the creator of the YouTube channel, “O Primo Rico”, whose contents are followed by around 15 million people every month.

The General Councilor for Social Communication, Fr Gildasio Mendes, will also offer a presentation on Thursday 14 October on the theme "As Christians, we cannot be afraid of the universe of social networks and the internet"; other notable papers include "Cyber crimes", by Higor Jorge, Civil Delegate and Professor of the Police Academy in the Civil Police of the State of São Paulo; "The Policies of Innovation and Digital Transformation", by Cristina Ameki Shimoda Uechi, Coordinator of Technological Services and Innovation Management at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation; and "Doctors of Tomorrow - Can robotics, Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies make medicine more human?", by Oswaldo Gomes Junior, specialist in thoracic and pulmonary surgery.

Those who register and invest in the event’s certification will receive something innovative, the NFT - "Non-Fungible Token". It is a technology that transforms any digital resource into something unique and irreplaceable through a blockchain (a kind of security protocol), registered in the BCA (Brazyl Crypto Art).

It is important to remember that those who choose to acquire the certificate will have access to the event platform, with the possibility of accessing all of the over 90 conferences for 30 days after the Congress with the exception of the conferences by Pierre Mantovani and Thiago Nigro.

Prof. André Ornellas, Pro-Rector of UniSALESIANO, responsible for Teaching, Research and University Studies, and creator of the event, said that the objective of the Congress is to democratize technology and show students and participants that certain tools open up great possibilities. “We try to bring to the young people of Brazil and the world what is innovative, with serious and motivating contents. All this so that they can be the protagonists of their stories, using the resources of technology to make their dreams come true,” he explained.

For the Rector of the UniSALESIANO of Araçatuba, Fr Erondi Tamandaré, it is the right time to show young people the importance of investing in their ideals and goals. “Our institution focuses on the integral investment in the student. It is necessary to be well-rounded and this Congress intends to demonstrate that there is always a chance for personal and professional growth,” he declared.
