(ANS - Porto Novo) - Porto Novo, capital of Benin, is a city where the number of children forced to sleep on the streets is increasing every day. More than 30% of the population lives below the poverty line. While the country has made progress, the children of Benin still continue to suffer from diseases that sometimes are fatal, such as malaria, AIDS, respiratory diseases, or even dysentery. And another fact: 45% of Beninese children are forced to work.
(ANS - San Salvador) - The International Labour Organization gives a dark and disquieting report on youth employment. "There are 1.7 million newly unemployed in the region of Latin America, out of a total of 19 million" it was announced by the organization at the presentation in Lima, Peru, of the document. Work in 2015: overall view for Latin America and the Caribbean." The most worrying aspect is the situation of young people, because in the region, the youth unemployment rate is three times higher than that of adults. Faced with this gloomy picture, the Salesians want to offer a proposal.
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco, seen up close, is well known: he wrote a lot about himself and there are thousands of pages of witnesses, mostly Salesians. But how was he seen outside Salesian houses, in the last ten years of his life and in what was written about him after the council?

RMG – 16 May 1887: Don Bosco's weeping, the Sacred Heart and unwavering faith in Divine Providence
(ANS – Rome) – On 16 May 1887, Don Bosco celebrated his first and only Mass at the altar of Mary Help of Christians at the church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the Castro Praetorium, in Rome, the church whose construction cost him so much effort and suffering in the last years of his life. In that Mass, interrupted by tears 15 times, Don Bosco, now close to the end of his mortal life, had the grace to understand the entire journey made in the thousand apostolates and in the infinite initiatives for young people throughout his life, and his childhood Dream suddenly became clear to him, thus also giving fulfilment to the prophetic affirmation of that dream: "In due time you will understand everything".

We strongly need His Presence in hearts willing to welcome Him.
