(ANS – Legazpi) – The Salesian lay brother Luigi Parolin arrived in the Philippines in 1960 and in these years he never lost his enthusiasm to serve the Gospel. Since a few years he works in the Agro-Mechanical School of Legazpi, which was created also thanks to the support of the Missioni Don Bosco Association in Turin. “We are happy to be at the service of the youth and of the poor families who live in rural areas”, he says.

(ANS – Campello) – He is the personal secretary to the Rector Major. He was born in Mar del Plata, in Argentina, 51 years ago, and was Provincial of La Plata from 2005 to 2010: he is Fr. Horacio Adrián López and has already visited a third of the Salesian world, 41 countries, at the side of the Rector Major.

(ANS - Bellflower) - Juan Carlos Montenegro is a past pupil of the Don Bosco Kennedy Salesian Technical Institute in Quito, Ecuador. From his years in the Salesian school he felt that his life "should not be a meaningless life." As a student, he decided to go as a volunteer among the native Achuar people in Wasakentsa. "It was an experience that changed my life forever," he says.

"Every time I go around the world, I see first-hand that the charism of Don Bosco is fully alive," says Fr Eusebio Muñoz, Secretary of the Salesian Family, the man who convened the World Consultative Body.
