Guatemala City, Guatemala -  July 2023 - The first meeting of the National Salesian Family Delegates for the Central American Province (CAM) was held on 6 July. The meeting was held in Las Charcas, involving Fr Oscar Rodríguez, who celebrates his 50th anniversary of priesthood this year, Fr Miguel Alfaro, Fr Mauricio Dada, Salesian Brother Félix Vallejos and Fr Guido Maroto. The objective of the meeting was to share the experience of animation of the Salesian Family in each country of the Province and to identify the challenges for such animation, taking as reference the documents of the Congregation's Secretariat for the Salesian Family. Likewise, the possibility of resuming regional meetings of the Salesian Family was analysed, the last of which was held in Costa Rica in 2019. This enriching experience seeks to establish a direction for activities and reflections that contribute to fully living the strength of the Salesian charism in the Province.

Lo Cañas, Chile – July 2023 - The second stage of the 'Come and See' vocational journey took place at the San Juan Bosco Theologate in Lo Cañas, from Thursday 29 June to Sunday 2 July. The event, organised by the Salesian Vocation Ministry Team for the Salesian Province of Chile (CIL), brought together young people from different Salesian works in the country and addressed the central theme 'Salesian Religious Life: call and response'. An environment favourable to reflection and vocational discernment was created through formative activities, conversations, liturgical celebrations and recreational moments. The young people had the valuable opportunity to examine their life plans in light of the experience of the disciple who responds to Jesus' call. This meeting proved to be an enriching time where the sense of community was strengthened and young people were encouraged to explore their lives. The participants returned to their respective works in a fraternal and reflective atmosphere,  with renewed impetus and greater commitment in their journey of faith and service.

Siguatepeque, Honduras – July 2023 - On Sunday 9 July, the local councils of the Salesian Cooperators of the three centres in Honduras met to elect the new National Council that will guide the Association for the next three years. The National Council is composed of Coordination - Uvil Padilla (Centro Bartolomé Garelli); Secretariat - Lourdes Contreras (Centro Miguel Rúa); Administration - Melvin Morales (Centro Miguel Rúa); Initial Formation - Martha Andino (Centro María Auxiliadora); Ongoing Formation - Raquel Raudales (Centro María Auxiliadora). In Honduras, the Association has three local centres located in two different cities.

Kansebula, D.R. Congo – July 2023 - From 10 to 13 July, all 24 Salesian Rectors and those in charge of the Salesian communities and presences in the Central African Province (AFC), participated in a session convened and organised by the Provincial, Fr Guillermo Basañes, and his Council. The discussion, held at the Salesian formation house in Kansebula, located about 20 km from the city of Lubumbashi, is the last one for the Rectors and Persons in Charge for this pastoral year 2022-2023, and revolved around vital issues of animation and governance of the Province. Everything took place in an atmosphere of fraternity and typically Salesian family joy. The participants reviewed the evaluation of the level of application of the resolutions of Provincial Chapter 21; the management of Salesian schools; youth ministry; Economy; the formation and contribution of the Rectors for the development of the 2023-2024 Provincial Plan. Fr Basañes celebrated the concluding Mass, during which he blessed and presented each Rector with a statuette of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - the statuettes were donated to the AFC Province by the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Bologna (Italy) via Fr Ferdinando Colombo, SDB.
