Chennai, India – 2 February 2017 – Father Jose Kochamkunnel SDB was installed as the 14th Provincial of the Salesian Province of Chennai on 2 February during the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Maria Arokiam Kanaga, the General Councillor for the region of South Asia, in the presence of a large gathering which included some 300 Salesians and members of the Salesian Family at the Provincial House in Chennai. Three books were released on the occasion: “Living for the Poor - Like Jesus with Don Bosco”, a collection of the inspiring reflections taken from the Circulars of Father Raphael Jayapalan, the former provincial; “Jesus Every Day - Christian Living in our Times” by Father John Alexander SDB; and “Come Relax” by Father Jesudas Amaladas SDB, a set of Gospel reflections.
