(ANS – Lisbon) – The Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians landed on 31 July in Lisbon, from Italy. Rosa Cândida Gomes and a young woman from the SYM and former student of the FMA, travelled to Portela Airport to welcome Sr Chiara Cazzuola. This is the first major gathering of young people in which Sister Chiara Cazzuola will participate after her election as Superior of the Institute on 5 October 2021.
Sofia Guerreiro, representing all the students of the Salesian Sisters' presences in Portugal, handed Mother General a letter in which the young people thanked her for her closeness and presence in Portugal on the occasion of World Youth Day.
Sister Chiara Cazzuola will participate in the various moments of the Salesian programme for World Youth Day Lisbon 2023, with a special focus on SYM Day on 2 August.
