Jakarta,Indonesia – November 2023 – The Liturgical Memorial of Saint Artemides Zatti is celebrated on 13 November and is therefore a day of celebration for the Church and the Salesian Family. On this occasion, therefore, the Salesian community in Jakarta and the Garelli Boarding House celebrated the feast in honour of Zatti. The day began in the morning with a prayer and continued in the afternoon with a volleyball tournament, the Eucharistic celebration, a shared dinner and, finally, with the prayer of the Rosary. In the homily, Fr Ferdinandus Reo, Rector of the Salesian house in Blitar, stressed the simplicity of this saint and his devotion to the sick, highlighting how his presence and his closeness were authentic medicines for patients. iOn the same day, the Post-novitiate in Wisma also commemorated the feast of Saint Artemides Zatti, celebrating Mass and organising games and opportunities to learn about the life of the saint.
