Participatory Models in Salesian Higher Education (Rome, 27-31 October 2025)

(ANS – Rome) – Rome prepares to welcome a landmark gathering of Salesian educational leaders from across the globe as the International Conference on “Participatory Models in Salesian Higher Education: Synodal & Salesian Facilitation” opens on 27 October. The five-day event, part of the Jubilee of Education celebrations, is hosted by the Salesian University, Rome, and organized by the Salesian Institutes of Higher Education under the aegis of the Salesian Youth Ministry Department.

Rome, Italy – October 2025 – On October 11–12, the Adma Primaria participated in the Jubilee of Marian Spirituality, oa profound celebration of faith and devotion to Mary. The first day featured significant moments, including a pilgrimage through the Holy Door at the Basilica of St. Mary Major, personal prayers for the Jubilee, a visit to the tomb of Pope Francis, and Mass at the Chapel in the Salesian Headquarters at the Sacred Heart, with the Mass presided by Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime. After the celebration, participants had the opportunity to meet the Rector Major, Fr. Fabio Attard. On Sunday, the group attended a Pontifical Mass in St. Peter’s Square presided over by Pope Leo XIV. Together, under the banner of the Adma Primaria and the maternal gaze of Mary Help of Christians, members renewed their commitment to Mary’s mission of spreading her devotion to the world. 

(ANS - Rome) - Encounter, welcome, dialogue, testimony, curiosity, joy, hugs... All this was on stage on the evening of Thursday 9 October 2025 in Piazza Don Bosco in Rome, where  consecrated men and women of the Salesian Family animated one of the three appointments scheduled for the ‘Note di vita’, promoted by the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life in Rome on the occasion of the Jubilee of Consecrated Life (8-12 October 2025). ‘Care and custody of creation - Protection of the environment’ was the guiding theme of the evening, spent among dances, testimonies, songs and thematic workshops in an atmosphere of harmony and fraternity.

(ANS – Rome) – The Jubilee of Consecrated Life began today, 8 October 2025, a highly anticipated event and one of the most attended of the entire Jubilee year. Between now and next Sunday, October 12, Rome will see over 16 thousand pilgrims converge, including men and women religious, monks and contemplatives, members of secular institutes, belonging to the Ordo Virginum, hermits, members belonging to the “New Forms” of consecrated life.

(ANS – Rome) – From 8 to 12 October 2025, Rome is preparing to experience another special event of this Holy Year 2025 with the Jubilee of Consecrated Life, an initiative that will bring together consecrated men and women from all over the world to experience together a time of prayer, communion and reflection on the great themes of hope, peace and fraternity. As part of the activities of this event, on the evening of Thursday 9 October 2025, the ‘Note di Vita’ (Notes on Life) initiative will also take place, with three simultaneous events in the squares around the suburbs, designed to bring Consecrated Life into dialogue with ordinary people through the languages of music, words and testimony. The consecrated members of the Salesian Family have been asked to animate one of these three events.
