Sonada, India – June 2025 - On June 9, Mr. Sujoy Majumdar, head of UNICEF’s rural WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) project and former Director of the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (Swachh Bharat Mission), visited “Radio Salesian 90.8 FM,” accompanied by his wife, Dr. Sonia Majumdar.

They were welcomed by Fr. C.M. Paul, SDB, Director of Radio Salesian, along with Program Director RJ Sameer Chettri and the radio team.

The visit focused on ongoing WASH initiatives and the critical role community radio plays in promoting public awareness. Discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between media and public health efforts to broaden outreach and impact.
Based at Salesian College Sonada since 2016, “Radio Salesian” has been a key partner in delivering vital public health messages to the local community.
