Abuja, Nigeria – July 2025 - On July 19, 2025, the Salesians of Don Bosco Africa Nigeria-Niger Province celebrated the ordination of nine priests at the Catholic Church of the Archangels, Gaduwa, Abuja. The ordaining prelate, Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama, urged the new priests to be shepherds, missionaries, and brothers to their flock, while encouraging families to support vocations. The following day, July 20, five confreres—Alexander Nwosu, Emmanuel Obigwe, Jude Iwuji, Martin Ezeagu, and Stanley Ugwuegbu—made their perpetual profession. Their vows were received by Fr. Peter Morba, the new Provincial, who called on them to embody the spirit of the Good Shepherd. The celebrations were marked by joy, colorful receptions, and heartfelt support from families, parishioners, and the Salesian community. Congratulations to the new priests and professed confreres!
