Malta – October 2025 - On Sunday, 12th October, the Salesian Pastoral Youth Service (SPYS) in Malta celebrated its 30th anniversary since its foundation. The past 30 years have been marked by formation, accompaniment, and service to young people through various training programmes, formation sessions, exchanges, encounters, and volunteering experiences, both locally and internationally. Throughout these years, the Salesian spirit, shared by Salesians and lay members alike, has been at the heart of all their work. The celebrations began with the celebration of Mass, presided over by Fr. Paul Formosa SDB, bringing together past and present members to thank God for everyone who formed part of the group and for their service. This was followed by an open discussion on volunteering and on what the future holds for the group. The evening concluded with moments of sharing, during which guests recalled memories and friendships made over the years.
