Ayagualo, El Salvador - May 2022 - The Provincial Chapter of the Salesian Province of Central America (CAM) is taking place from 2 to 7 May at the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" Retreat House; its theme: "Which Salesians for today’s youth?". Each day the Chapter members meet to reflect on the three thematic nuclei proposed by GC 28 - priorities of the Salesian mission among the youth of today; profile of the Salesian today; together with the laity in mission and formation - and to deepen and implement the eight programmatic lines of the Rector Major for the Salesian Congregation after GC 28: Don Bosco's Salesian Forever; Da mihi animas, coetera tolle; The Salesian Sacrament of Presence; Salesian Pastors Today; Absolute Priority for the Poorest, Abandoned and Defenseless Youth; Together with the Laity in Mission and Formation; It's Time for Greater Generosity of the Congregation, Universal and Missionary; Accompanying Young People to a Sustainable Future. From the Provincial Chapter, through dialogue, reflection and discernment, the guidelines for the Province of Central America for the coming years will emerge.
