Italy – Slovenia altar servers visiting the places of their patron saint
Turin, Italy - August 2025 - The 20th edition of the ‘Savio kamp’, which every year cheers up and brings together altar servers from all over Slovenia, this year took place with two groups: the first at the Salesian Institute in Želimlje, with more than 100 participants, and the second group visiting the places of St Dominic Savio and St John Bosco, from 13 to 16 August 2025. The days of the pilgrimage were spent in prayer, visits and organised evenings dedicated to games, sports and socialising. ‘The holy places we visited will surely give us an abundance of new strength and joy for our continued service at the altar,’ said one of the participants. The pilgrimage took place under the guidance of Fr Klemen Balažič, SDB, Delegate for Vocation Animation, and some young Salesians from the province of Slovenia.
