Lubumbashi, D.R. Congo - September 2025 - On Saturday, 7 September, the Don Bosco University of Lubumbashi celebrated the conferral of academic degrees and the closing of the academic year 2024-2025. More than 500 students from the four faculties (Computer Science, Financial Management and Engineering, Human/Social Sciences and Theology) at the Don Bosco University in the province of Upper Katanga, southeastern D.R. Congo, received their degrees. The celebration brought together students and their parents, family members, teachers, members of the university administration, as well as representatives of the local ecclesiastical and religious authorities. Among the graduates, for the first time, were students from the Theologicum and Postnovitiate, testifying to the expansion of the formation offered by the university as part of its educational and religious mission. Present at the event were Fr Jean-Luc Vanderkerhkov, Rector of Don Bosco University, and Fr Guillermo Basañes, AFC Provincial.
