Gia Lâu, Vietnam – October 2025 -  On October 11, 2025, the Salesians of Don Bosco of the Vietnam Province commemorated the 150th Anniversary of the First Salesian Missionary Expedition (1875–2025) with a Missionary Animation Program and Thanksgiving Mass at Gia Lâu Sub-Parish in the Kontum Diocese. The event gathered thousands of faithful, including Bishop Aloisio Nguyễn Hùng Vị, Provincial Superior Fr. Barnaba Lê An Phong, priests, religious, and lay participants. A cultural program highlighted the missionary journey, followed by Bishop Aloisio's talk, which emphasized evangelization and collaboration between the Salesians and the Diocese. The celebration culminated with a Thanksgiving Mass  presided over by the Bishop,  which concluded with the Sending-Forth Rite symbolizing the community's readiness to take forward the Gospel to new frontiers.
