Haiti - Formation day for aspiring Salesian Cooperators
Thorland, Haiti – November 2025 – On 1 and 2 November, an enriching formation day was held for the 10 aspiring Salesian Cooperators of the Guadalupe Local Centre in Thorland. The meeting began with a moment of prayer led by Sister Sylvita Claude, FMA, delegate of the centre, followed by a welcome speech by Sister Aline Nicolas, FMA. Two fundamental themes for the Salesian vocation were explored: ‘The prophetic dimension of Salesian Cooperators,’ led by Sister Jennifer Jean François, FMA, and ‘The role of the Salesian Cooperator in their mission and actions,’ presented by Sister Carole Jeune, FMA. Sunday ended with the Eucharist, presided over by Fr Max Antoine, SDB, and the presentation of the final theme by Evens Devalery, Provincial Coordinator of Haiti. The day, rich in fraternity and Salesian spirit, was organised by the Provincial Council of Salesian Cooperators of Haiti, reaffirming their commitment to the formation and accompaniment of new members in the service of young people and the Church.
