Ondo, Nigeria - November 2025 – From 27 to 30 November 2025, more than 75 young people from Salesian communities across the ANN Province gathered in Akure, Ondo State, for the 4th Annual Provincial Advent Retreat, which also included formation sessions for Youth Delegates. A key moment of the event was the online address delivered by the General Councillor for Youth Ministry, Rev. Fr Rafael Rivera Bejarano, SDB, who offered encouragement and guided participants in reflection and fraternity. The retreat focused on the theme “Mary, a Model of Hope for a Restless Generation.” The Youth Ministry Department, led by Rev. Fr Felix Olamide, SDB, and supported by Fr Joshua Pilaku, SDB, coordinated the programme. Rev. Fr Peter Gbertyo, SDB, preached the retreat and provided spiritual guidance throughout the sessions. The gathering highlighted the ongoing vitality of the Salesian mission as young people deepened their faith and commitment. The event concluded with renewed trust in Mary as a model and source of hope for today’s youth.
