Portugal - Lisbon’s Anima Mission leaves for Fronteira
(ANS - Fronteira) - From 14 to 21 February 2026, Lisbon’s Anima Mission, inspred by the Saesians, left for Fronteira, a small town in the heart of Alentejo, with a single goal: to bring Christ's happiness and love to others. During the week, the young volunteers carried out missions in day centres, schools, nursing homes and nurseries, with a remarkable impact. They also carried out activities on the streets and door-to-door, inspired by the origins of Salesian work. During these days, they were involved in the life of the Christian community in Fronteira, taking part in the daily Eucharistic celebration, with particular attention to the Ash Wednesday Mass, the beginning of Lent, and the public Way of the Cross through the streets of the historic centre of the Alentejo town. The group was received by the Mayor of the Municipality, Antonio Velez Gomes, and had the opportunity to thank him for his welcome and for providing the spaces for their activities.
