(ANS – Addis Ababa) – On 15 March 2026, the parish of Mary Help of Christians hosted a lively Family Sports Day as part of this year’s pastoral priority: ‘Youth Ministry and the Family’. The day began with a prayer and a blessing, which set a spiritual tone for the celebration. Families from across the parish gathered for activities designed to promote Christian values, strengthen unity and foster community life. The programme included football, basketball and volleyball matches, as well as foot races, with the participation of parish groups, including the Don Bosco Fathers’ and Mothers’ Associations. The events encouraged teamwork, respect and joyful interaction among all participants. Family Day, organised with the help of volunteers and prenovices, including members from Eritrea, was a joyful witness to faith in action, bringing together young people and families in a celebration of unity, healthy living and parish life.
