Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy - November 2019 - On 16 and 17 November, the Savio Club met at Colle Don Bosco, a weekend during which over 600 boys and girls of middle schools were animated through play, prayer, friendship and moments of reflection.

Jakarta, Indonesia - November 2019 - The General Councilor for Social Communication, Fr Filiberto González, made an Animation Visit to the Indonesia Vice Province (INA) from 19 to 24 November. The Councilor met the INA Vice Province Superior, Fr Andrew Wong, the Delegate for Social Communication, Fr Peter Tukan, and members of the Jakarta post-novitiate community. He also visited the parish of St. John Bosco, the Salesian community of the Tigaraksa novitiate and the community of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Jakarta.

Hiroshima, Japan - November 2019 - On November 24, Pope Francis visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in the presence of about 1,300 faithful, religious leaders, survivors and relatives of the victims of the atomic bomb that exploded on August 6, 1945, and instantly killed 80,000 people. After lighting a candle for all the victims and listening to the testimony of two survivors, who still today fight against the atomic bomb's devastating effects, Pope Francis sent the world a message: “With conviction I wish to reiterate that the use of energy Atomic for purposes of war is, today more than ever, a crime, not only against man and his dignity, but against any possibility of future in our common home.”

Cumbayá, Ecuador - November 2019 - 26 Salesians attended the meeting of Directors on 19 and 20 November in Cumbayá to reflect together on various important issues for the Province's journey and to foster a climate of fraternity. The meeting, chaired by Fr Francisco Sánchez, Provincial of the Province of Ecuador (ECU), was opened by Msgr. Néstor Montesdeoca, SDB, bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Méndez, who presented the Final Document of the Synod of Bishops on the Pan-Amazon Region; the Salesians then worked in groups to identify the challenges and possible answers. Then followed various interventions on the country's socio-political situation and meetings with Salesians in formation and also with the economers and accountants of Salesian works. The second day began with a session on the theme of accompanying young people in vocational research, followed by a meeting between Salesians and lay people on the theme of shared mission and the value of work in communion. Finally, there was a meeting between Directors, parish priests, economers, administrators and accountants, led by the Provincial Economer, Fr Maffeo Panteghini.
