RMG – Eco-Spiritual Lent Calendar 2024

14 February 2024

(ANS – Rome) – This year too, the Youth Ministry Sector is offering an item to help experience an eco-spiritual Lent. The title of the Lent Calendar 2024 is "Your face, Lord, I seek." The guide this year will be the Psalms, particularly the Psalms of Creation.

The Psalms, in fact, guide us to seek the light, the face of the Lord, but also to inhabit the Lord's house, Creation, respectfully and justly by following his paths: the Lord created the earth and all its inhabitants, all creatures are his. He established an order for them, His order, the only one, the true one, and everything rests on this balance. Whoever respects this order will have a pure heart, will have innocent hands, will not harm, will not serve his own interests, will not pursue ends hidden behind a false good. Only thus will he be able to stand before God, and obtain blessing, peace of heart, righteousness, salvation. He who will not respect this order, on the contrary, will destroy himself and all creatures.

“Let us therefore ask the Lord to teach us to recognise him, to identify his paths, because only by following them and being faithful to his path of justice will we be saved and happy. The Psalms will accompany us on this path that leads to the Resurrection. Happy journey!” the person in charge of Integral Ecology in the Salesian Youth Ministry Sector, Emanuela Chiang, says.
