Vallecrosia, Italy – March 2026 – Over the weekend of 6–8 March 2026, the municipality of Vallecrosia, in western Liguria, celebrated 150 years of Salesian presence in the city with satisfaction and a rich programme of events. To honour this anniversary, Fr Fabio Attard, Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation and 11th Successor of Don Bosco, was also present, animating various events. Among these, the following were of particular importance: the Rector Major's meeting with young people and the Salesian Family; the launch of the book “Don Bosco in Vallecrosia: yesterday, today and tomorrow”, dedicated to retracing a century and a half of educational, pastoral and social history of the Salesian institute; the awarding of honorary citizenship to the Rector Major, a sign of the gratitude of the entire civil community to the Sons of Don Bosco; and the solemn Sunday Mass presided over by Fr Fabio Attard, the culminating moment of thanksgiving and the relaunch of the Salesian educational mission in Vallecrosia.
