01. Chennai, India - September 2022 - The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, arrived in the Salesian Province of Chennai (INM) on 2 September, where he celebrated the Eucharist in the presence of the Archbishop Emeritus of Madras - Mylapore, mgr. Malayappan Chinnappa, SDB, Fr Biju Michael, Councilor for the South Asia Region, Fr Jose Kochamkunnel, INM Provincial, the members of the Provincial Council and various Salesians.
02. Panjim, India - September 2022 - The 75th anniversary celebrations of the Salesians’ presence in Goa got underway on 6 September at the "Don Bosco Panjim" campus with a big welcome from the Rector Major, Fr Á.F. Artime, who also inaugurated a new football pitch on the occasion.
03. Panjim, India - September 2022 - From 7 to 13 September, Rector Major Fr Artime presided over the Annual Retreat for the Superiors and Provincial Councils of the 11 Salesian Provinces of India and the Vice Province of Sri Lanka, accompanied by Fr Biju Michael, Councilor for the South Asia Region.
04. Turin, Italy - September 2022 - On 25 September in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, presided over the mass for the missionary expedition of 19 Salesians and 9 Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. Present were Fr Martoglio, Vicar of the Rector Major, Fr Maravilla, General Councilor for the Missions, Fr Coelho, General Councilor for Formation, Fr García Morcuende, General Councilor for Youth Ministry, and Sr. Ruth del Pilar Mora, FMA, General Councilor for Missions.
05. Rome, Italy - September 2022 - The "SDB Change Congress" was held from 19 to 23 September at the UPS in Rome, an event promoted by the Economer General, Br. Jean Paul Muller, SDB, to reflect and find synergies on present and future challenges for the world youth reality. About 250 people took part, which included Provincial Economers and Heads of Planning and Development Offices, Mission Offices, Salesian NGOs, and international organizations.
06. Turin, Italy - September 2022 - The meeting of the Rector Major, Fr Artime, and his Vicar, Fr Stefano Martoglio, with the Superiors of the Provinces and Salesian Vice Provinces who have reached the mid-point of their six-year term of service ended with ten days of intense work sessions.
07. Guadalajara, Mexico - September 2022 - With the support of "Salesian Missions", the Salesian Mission Office of New Rochelle, USA, Mexico’s first center for the integral treatment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from spinal cord injuries was inaugurated. 08. Kigali, Rwanda - September 2022 - The meeting of the Provincial Delegates for Youth Ministry of the Salesian Africa-Madagascar Region took place at the headquarters of the Africa Great Lakes Vice Province (AGL), in Kigali, from 12 to 15 September. The meeting was led by Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende, General Councilor for Youth Ministry, and by Fr Jose Lorbeth L. Vivo, member of the Youth Ministry Sector.
