01. Turin, Italy - January 2023 - From January 12 to 15, the XLI edition of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days was held in Valdocco in the presence of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, with the in-person participation of about 300 members of most of the 32 groups of the Salesian Family, and many others who followed the live broadcasts of the program online.
02. Barakaldo, Spain - January 2023 – On 21 January, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, presided over the official closing act of the anniversaries of the Salesian presences in Barakaldo - "Salesianos Barakaldo" (125 years), "Salesianos Cruces" (80), and "Salesianas Barakaldo" (75).
03. Turin, Italy - January 2023 - On 31January, the traditional feast of Don Bosco reached its climax with a Mass presided over by Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, in front of an overflowing presence of young people from the Salesian Youth Movement (MGS) and faithful.
04. Turin, Italy - January 2023 - In 2023 the Salesian house in Turin-Crocetta will celebrate 100 years since its foundation. The celebrations began on Sunday, 29 January, with a Mass presided over by Fr Stefano Martoglio, Vicar of the Rector Major, a former student of the Theological Studentate.
05. Cairo, Egypt - January 2023 - Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende, General Councilor for Youth Ministry, visited Egypt from January 28 to February 4, thus making his first visit to the territory of the "Adolescent Jesus" Province of the Middle East (MOR).
06. Tlaquepaque, Mexico - January 2023 - From 2 to 6 January, 25 formators from the Salesian Provinces of the Antilles, Central America, and the two Provinces of Mexico - Guadalajara and Mexico City - participated in a week of formation during which Fr Pascual Chávez, Rector Major Emeritus, also spoke.
07. Turin, Italy - January 2023 - From January 18 to 21, the Heads of the Salesian Mission Offices "Salesian Missions," New Rochelle; "Misiones Salesianas," Madrid; "Don Bosco Mission," Bonn; and "Missioni Don Bosco" Turin, met in Valdocco for a meeting convened by the General Councilor for Missions, Fr Alfred Maravilla, and organized by Fr George Menamparampil, member of the same Department and Responsible for the Salesian Coordination for Responses to Emergencies.
08. Darkhan, Mongolia - January 2023 - On January 23 and 24, 2023, young people attending the three Salesian presences in Mongolia - Ulan Bator, Shuvuu, and Darkhan - gathered for the first time and initiated the First Meeting of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) in the Country.
