(ANS – Turin) – On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of the canonization of Saint John Bosco (1934-2025), the renovated Piazza Maria Ausiliatrice in Turin will be inaugurated. This significant redevelopment project has enhanced the historical and cultural value of the site, which has long been a destination for citizens, pilgrims, and tourists due to the presence of the Salesian community and the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians. The reorganization of the space has improved its livability, making it even more welcoming. The ceremony will also mark the completion of the restoration and conservation work on the two bell towers of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians.

Alphonse Owoudou, from Cameroon, was elected as the first Regional Councillor for the newly created Central & Northern Africa Region. This marks a historic milestone as Fr. Owoudou transitions from his previous role as the Regional Councillor for the Africa-Madagascar Region to lead this new region.
