Myanmar - 25th-anniversary Celebration of “St. John Bosco” parish of Hsipaw
Hsipaw, Myanmar - January 2022 - On January 31, Msgr. Lucas Dau Ze, SDB, Bishop of the diocese of Lashio, presided over the Eucharist to celebrate the feast day of Don Bosco and the 25th anniversary of the "St John Bosco" parish. The parish was named after Don Bosco and entrusted to the Salesian pastoral care in 1997 and is located in the center of the city of Hsipaw in the diocese of Lashio, the northern part of the State of Shan. The celebration was attended by various Salesians, diocesan priests, Salesian aspirants, religious from various congregations, and hundreds of parishioners. At the end of the Mass, the parish priest, Fr Hanry Dau Hawng, SDB, thanked all the participants and the young exhibited various cultural dances.
