Bangkok, Thailand - September 2022 - The "St. Dominic Savio" school in Bangkok celebrated the 60th anniversary of its foundation in recent days. On this occasion, last Sept. 9, Cardinal Francis Xavier Kriengsak Kovithavanij, Archbishop of Bangkok, presided over a solemn Mass, concelebrated by Msgr. Joseph Prathan Sridarunsil, SDB, bishop of Surat Thani, and Msgr. Silvio Siripong Charatsri, bishop of Chanthaburi. Numerous Salesians and representatives of Salesian Family groups present in Thailand also participated in the day. As part of the festive activities, a medal in honor of the institute's patron saint and the "Magone Arena," a space in which, after the celebration, the theatrical performance "A Moment to Remember: Once Upon a Time in the Heart" was held. The performance aimed to convey to all present the values of St. John Bosco's Preventive System. Other highlights of the day included a short performance of the school's history, tributes to supporters and benefactors of the educational center, and an afternoon basketball tournament.
