Portugal – SYM young animators in formation
Mogofores, Portugal - March 2023 - Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) animators gathered for their second in-person formation meeting on March 3-5. According to the two-year plan, about 30 young animators gathered and experienced another moment of great formative depth, willing to grow in important areas that enrich them for the mission they carry out in their local centers. The formative areas, over the course of the days, dealt with human development starting from the perspective of psychology, life project, spirituality and religiosity, knowledge of the Word of God through Lectio Divina, the vocational journey of Marriage and ecclesial reality. A number of Salesians, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and lay people accompanied and prepared this formative session and were well received in the Salesian house in Mogofores. This opportunity was enriched by other important moments, both at the level of prayer, informal conviviality, and the development of animation practices that already result in a practice of great strength and competence. The next formative meeting of this pastoral year will be held digitally.
