Ecuador - The National Assembly of Ecuador recognises the 130 years of history and commitment of Don Bosco de La Tola
Quito, Ecuador - 6 December 2025 - As part of the solemn session marking the 491st anniversary of the foundation of San Francisco de Quito, the National Assembly of Ecuador gave special recognition to the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Salesiana Don Bosco, represented by the Rector Víctor Orquera, for its 130 years of educational, pastoral and community service to the country. The National Assembly underlined the institution's constant commitment to an integral education that forms good Christians and upright citizens, fundamental pillars of Salesian pedagogy. Receiving this national distinction on such a symbolic date for the capital reaffirms the imprint that the Salesian presence has left in the heart of Quito. Beyond the walls of the classrooms, the Unidad Educativa Don Bosco has been a space where faith is cultivated, families are strengthened, community is built and hope is projected. After 130 years, the mission of the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional Salesiana Don Bosco continues to walk with Don Bosco, sowing the future and responding with hope to the challenges of education, always at the service of Ecuadorian youth.
