Philippines - An evening of Catechesis, Prayer, and Solidarity
Calamba City, Philippines – December 2025 – Don Bosco Sacred Heart Post‑Novitiate Community in Canlubang held Pagbaha ng Dasal kay Inay on 6 December, gathering youth, families, and Marian groups for an evening of catechesis and a candlelit procession honoring the Immaculate Conception. The event responded to recent national suffering and widespread corruption, affirming that grace is stronger than division and fear. After a reflection on Mary’s courage amid today’s social challenges, participants walked through the village in white as a sign of resistance to corruption. Families set up Marian altars that priests blessed as the Rosary was prayed throughout the route. Testimonies from calamity victims accompanied the prayers, turning the streets into a moving sanctuary of hope. The evening highlighted that prayer in action can unite communities and entrust the nation anew to Mary Immaculate.
