Ireland – Salesian College Pallaskenry Triumphs at Junk Kouture World Final 2025

26 February 2026

(ANS – Dublin) – Creativity and sustainability took centre stage in Dublin on 24 February 2026 as the Junk Kouture World Final 2025 dazzled audiences at The Helix, gathering 56 student finalists from Ireland, London, Paris, Milan, New York and Dubai in a global celebration of circular fashion. The young designers presented extraordinary wearable creations made entirely from recycled and repurposed materials, highlighting innovation with environmental responsibility. Among the standout teams was Salesian College, Pallaskenry, representing Ireland alongside nine other national finalists. In a remarkable achievement, the Salesian students secured the two most prestigious awards of the evening: Dublin Designer of the Year and World Designer of the Year. Guided by their art teacher, Ms Ann, whose mentorship proved instrumental, the team embodied the competition’s spirit: “If you are putting your name on it, make sure you have put 111% into it.” Led by Founder and CEO Troy Armour, Junk Kouture continues to inspire young people worldwide, proving that when creativity meets purpose, extraordinary results follow.
