For this reason, in addition to the exhibition on this Holy Bishop, set up and recently inaugurated in the "Museo Casa Don Bosco" in Valdocco, the triduum of preparation for the feast of the Saint of Youth has as its theme: "The Spirit of St. Francis de Sales in Don Bosco", and is presented by Professor Emeritus of the Salesian Pontifical University of Rome, Fr Morand Wirth, in the Masses at 9:00 am and 6:30 pm on Wednesday 26, Thursday 27, and Friday 28th.
This especially "Salesian" week begins on Monday 24, the liturgical feast day of the holy bishop Francis de Sales with the concelebration of the Salesian priests of the three communities of Valdocco. Subsequently, every evening an event will be celebrated in preparation for the feast of the "Father and Master of Youth", which will be celebrated on Sunday 30 and Monday 31 with Masses at feast times.
Three interesting events emerge from the lengthy program:
- Friday 28 at 9 p.m., the prayer vigil to Don Bosco organized by the Salesian Youth Movement of Piedmont;
- the three Eucharistic celebrations for young people, respectively on Sunday 30 at 9 p.m., for the friends of the "Youth Mission Service" (SERMIG); on Monday 31 at 6:30 p.m., for young people (SERMIG); Monday 31 at 6:30 p.m., for the youth of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM); and again on Monday 31 at 9:00 p.m., the Mass for the youth of Turin with the diocesan youth ministry;
- two concerts, one orchestral and the other harp, respectively on Saturday 29th at 9 p.m., and Sunday 30th at 7:30 p.m.
Finally, the participation of four bishops: Msgr. Cesare Nosiglia of Turin, Msgr. Derio Olivero of Pinerolo, Msgr. Marco Brunetti of Alba, and Msgr. Piero Delbosco of Cuneo-Fossano, who will give a gift of their testimony and love for Don Bosco by presiding over the Masses on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st.
The feast day of Don Bosco culminates in the gift of the presence of the person who represents him today, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, who will preside at the 11:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, January 30, broadcast live on the Italian national channel RAI 1, and on Monday, January 31, at 9:30 a.m., live on TV7 and on the social networks.
