RMG – Consultation Body Meeting of Missions Sector

(ANS - Rome) - For the first time in this six-year term, the Consultation Body of the Missions Sector met, bringing together the CORAM (RCMA, Regional Coordinator for Mission Animation) together with the members of the Salesian Missions Sector to understand the real situations of the regions and to foster collaboration in the mission animation of the entire Salesian Society. The Consultation Body is convened to help the Missions Sector promote missionary spirit and commitment throughout the Salesian Society, coordinate initiatives, guide missionary activities, and ensure the formation and updating of missionaries.

Held digitally on 22 January last, the meeting allowed for the sharing of experiences and the journey of mission animation in each of the seven regions of the Salesian Congregation, offering interesting points for comparison to all and a global and congregational overview.

The Councilor for the Missions, Fr Alfred Maravilla, together with his team, presented the role of CORAM, according to the manual of DIAM (Provincial Delegates for Mission Animation) published in 2019, underlining the most important aspects of this precious service.

At the end of the meeting, the materials of the Salesian Mission Day 2022 were presented and will be celebrated on different dates and in different ways according to the specific contexts of each Region and Province.
