India – Shillong Province mourns sudden demise of Cl. Pynshngain Hahshah, SDB

(ANS – Shillong) – It came like a typhoon as the news of the passing away of Cl. Pynshngain swept the entire Shillong Province, on 18 December. He was just 19 years old.

Young Hahshah Pynshngain was born on Feb. 1, 2003, in Nonghyllam, in the Indian state of Meghalaya, to Michael Lyngdoh Lyngkhoi and Medoris Hahshah. He had served his novitiate at Sunnyside House in Shillong and made his first profession just last May 24.

Cl. Pyshngain, who was supposed to have continued with his studies in Philosophy, came back to the province for treatment.

He was assigned to Nongpoh Parish in October of this year. On Wednesday 14th December he went to visit his brother, who is at Umsning, on a scooter but couldn’t meet him. He proceeded to Umroi to visit a friend; on his way to the Parish, he collided with a stationary truck and was taken to Bhoi Rymbong CHC and later brought to Civil Hospital Shillong that recommended he be taken to Super Care Hospital in Shillong.

He was kept on a ventilator and on 18th December, due to cardiac arrest, he passed away.
