01. Turin, Italy - January 2022 - From January 13-16, the 40th edition of the Spirituality Days of the Salesian Family took place in a mixed mode - in person in Turin-Valdocco, and online - on the theme of the Strenna 2022 of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime: "Do all through love, nothing through constraint".
02. Madrid, Spain - January 22, 2022 - The Rector Major, Fr Á.F. Artime, presided over the inauguration of the centenary of the Salesian work "Salesianos Estrecho" in Madrid, accompanied by the Councilor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy. Among the day’s highlights, the Rector Major met with about 300 youth center animators of the "St. James the Greater" Province (SSM).
03. Madrid, Spain - January 21, 2022 - Rector Major Fr Á.F. Artime presided over the inauguration of the 75th anniversary of the Salesian Work "Dominic Savio" of Madrid in the presence of the Councilor for the Mediterranean Region, Fr Juan Carlos Pérez Godoy, and Fr Fernando García, the Provincial of the Salesian Province "St. James the Greater" (SSM).
04. Rome, Italy - January 2022 - On January 26, the General Council of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, led by Mother General, Mother Chiara Cazzuola, gathered for its first plenum, welcomed the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, and the General Council of the Salesians of Don Bosco, for an evening of fraternity based on the Salesian charism.
05. Rome, Italy - January 2022 - The VIII General Assembly of the Salesian Institutions of Higher Education (IUS) was held at the Salesian Headquarters from January 24-28 with the participation, among others, of the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, the General Councilor for Youth Ministry, Fr Miguel Angel Garcia Morcuende, and the General Coordinator of the IUS, Fr Oscar Lozano.
06. Turin, Italy - January 2022 - On 15 January 2022, within the framework of the XL Days of Spirituality of the Salesian Family, a round table was held for the presentation of the exhibition "Francis de Sales 400", which will be kept open for the whole of 2022 at the "Casa Don Bosco" Museum in Valdocco. The exhibition, desired by the Rector Major, Fr Á.F. Artime, pays homage to the patron saint of the Congregation and wants to be an open channel to the world of culture.
07. Jaboatão, Brazil - January 2022 - On January 7, at the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Jaboatão, a ceremony was held to install the new Provincial of the Salesian Province of Brazil-Recife (BRE), Fr Francisco Inácio Vieira Júnior.
08. Port-au-Prince, Haiti - January 2022 - On January 30, Msgr. Louis Kébreau, Salesian Archbishop Emeritus of Cap-Haitien, presided over the installation ceremony of Fr Morachel Bonhomme as the new Superior of the Salesian Vice-Province of Haiti (HAI).
