(ANS – Juazeiro do Norte) – 23 and 24 March 2026 were days of celebration in the city of Juazeiro do Norte – CE. The faithful and devotees celebrated the 182nd anniversary of the birth of the Servant of God Father Cícero Romão Batista and the 22nd anniversary of the Padre Cícero Salesian Educational Foundation, FM Padre Cícero, the Salesian Work in Juazeiro do Norte. On the evening of 23 March, the square in front of the Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was filled with the faithful to commemorate the life of the ‘Patriarch of Juazeiro’ with various events lasting until dawn. The Salesian community in Juazeiro was present and paid tribute with a three-tiered cake, featuring images of Don Bosco and Father Cícero and representations of the Salesian works in the municipality. On Tuesday 24 March, the celebrations centred on Radio FM Padre Cícero. With a live broadcast starting at 7 am, listeners took part by sending audio clips and text messages to congratulate the station on its 22nd anniversary. Salesians, assistants, prenovices, staff, volunteers and listeners all joined in the celebrations.
