RMG – Looking for a Salesian Volunteer Cross design for the Congregation!

20 September 2022

(ANS – Rome) – The Salesian Volunteer Program has been alive in the Congregation since the time of Don Bosco. Mama Margaret was the first Salesian Volunteer who served at the Oratory. Without her, Don Bosco would have struggled even more. At the congregational level, a team of experts has been called to form the Salesian Volunteer Advisory Board. This Advisory Board has the task of helping the Salesian Congregation to strengthen the Salesian Volunteer Program at the world level.

With this in mind, the Advisory Board gathered in June 2022 and created a strategic plan. As part of this plan, the board calls the whole Congregation to participate and help design the new Salesian Volunteer Cross. The main idea is to use this cross for all the Salesian Volunteers worldwide.

“If you want to be part of this fantastic challenge, please design your own cross and send a picture of it to This email address is being protected from spambots. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of this milestone in our congregation and leave your legacy for future generations,” the Salesian Volunteer Advisory Board states.
