D.R. Congo - The students of "Don Bosco Ngangi" learn to exercise democracy

Goma, D.R. Congo - December 2021 - On 13 December the election of the spokesman for the students of the "Don Bosco Ngangi" Salesian Institute took place, organized by the school management. 427 pupils participated in the vote, choosing from four students who presented their candidacies for the 2021-2022 school year. After presenting their action programs there was a moment of questions and answers between the candidates and electors, which was followed by the vote in the presence of the Prefect of Studies of the "Don Bosco Ngangi" Institute, Fr Augustin Mupoyi, SDB. At the end of the vote, Prosper Nfundiko Kabalama was elected. The school’s Director of Studies made young people aware of the importance of this activity as it was an initiation of young people to the exercise of democracy.
