29 December 2021

Quetta, Pakistan - December 2021 - Thanks to the contribution of the “Misiones Salesianas” of Madrid, the Salesian community of Quetta has offered shelter and basic necessities to the Afghan refugees who are present in the city. The recipients, more than one hundred - mostly children - received tents, blankets, food, and medicines. The Christian community of Quetta gathered around the value of solidarity and felt proud to be able to selflessly help people of other religions in a spirit of universal brotherhood. Following this project which aimed to cover an emergency exacerbated by the cold, important forms of assistance are being studied, such as educational provision for children, as well as medical and psychological assistance.
