(ANS – Krakow) – Even after about 10 days, the memories of the 2025 Jubilee of Youth in Rome remain vivid and joyful in the hearts of the young Polish pilgrims from the “Saint Hyacinth” Province of Poland–Krakow (PLS).
(ANS - Rome) - The Pontiff celebrated the Youth Jubilee Mass at Tor Vergata, on the outskirts of Rome, and encouraged people not to be content. The fullness of existence does not depend on what one accumulates, he said in his homily, but resides in what ‘with joy we know how to welcome and share’. And he invited people to seek Jesus: it is he who quenches the thirst of the heart and the answer to restlessness.
(ANS - Rome) - How to find sincere friendships? And the courage to make important choices? How to ‘truly encounter’ Jesus Christ in life ‘and be sure of his presence’ even amid ‘difficulties and uncertainties’? In the Tor Vergata esplanade, as evening fell, three young people presented to Leo XIV some questions that linger in the hearts of their peers.
(ANS – Vatican City) – For the first time, the Church has dedicated a Jubilee to those who evangelize through social media and the web. Two intense days in Rome offered space for reflection on the language, opportunities, and challenges of Christian proclamation in the digital age. In greeting the participants, Pope Leo XIV invited them to "mend the nets" and become "agents of communion." Here are some voices from those who live this mission between feeds and authentic relationships, including in the Salesian world.
(ANS – Vatican City) – At the opening of the Jubilee of Youth, the Holy Father welcomes young people to St. Peter’s Square, inviting them to pray for peace: “Let us walk together with our faith in Jesus Christ.”

Great Britain – ABBA star in exclusive interview with “Faith Matters”
(ANS – London) – It is not every day that a world-famous rock star dedicates an interview to a school newspaper, moreover talking about rather unusual topics such as the relationship between music and politics. Yet that is what happened with Swedish singer songwriter Björn Ulvaeus - from the supergroup ABBA, who features in the Christmas edition of “Faith Matters”, just published by student reporters at St John Bosco College in Battersea, south London, under the guidance of editor-in-chief Fr Andrew.

RMG – The feast that gave Birth to the Oratory and the Salesian Mission
(ANS – Rome) – The solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is like a “birthday” in Salesian history: it marks the beginning of Don Bosco’s Oratory, the foundation of the Congregation, and a permanent Marian key for Salesian spirituality and mission. All the successors of Don Bosco have repeatedly returned to 8 December to rediscover in it the style, hope, and maternal presence of our Immaculate mother that continues renewing the Salesian Family today.

The Christmas Grotto, where Heaven Meets Earth
THE MESSAGE OF THE RECTOR MAJOR, Fr Fabio Attard, SDB
The mystery of Christmas begins with a “scandal of love”: the Great One who makes Himself little. It's not a poetic image, but the most shocking reality in human history.
God, the Infinite, chooses to become finite; the Almighty chooses the fragility of a newborn baby who cannot yet speak, walk, or defend Himself. It is pure gratuitousness made manifest, a gift that seeks nothing in return, that imposes no conditions in order to gain access.
